MORLEY -- Michael W. Perkins was honored for 50 years of service at the Morley Volunteer Fire Department banquet on Saturday, March 24.
Perkins joined the small department in 1968 and since has served as chief, assistant chief, fire commissioner, and a mentor to all members.
He continues to be very active within the department, where he is able to share his knowledge of the fire service.
