OGDENSBURG -- A cedar canoe will be raffled off by the Frederic Remington Art Museum at Frederic Remington’s 150th birthday celebration Saturday, Sept. 24.
The 17’ 6” Redbird cedar strip canoe named Nahanni, honoring the Nahanni National Park Reserve in Canada’s Northwest Territories, has a retail value of $3,000. It was hand built over 300 hours and donated by museum trustee Ted Abbott. It weighs about 56 pounds.
Raffle tickets are available online in the museum shop or at the museum for $25 per ticket or two for $40. Call 393-2425 for more information.
