HOGANSBURG – Eleven fights are on the card for the mixed martial arts Rumble at the Raceway Aug. 29 at Mohawk International Raceway, Hogansburg.
A lineup of two professional bouts and nine for amateurs gets underway at 6 p.m.
The main event features Bellator veteran Mark “The Spartan” Stevens vs. 70-fight veteran Jay Ellis. And pros Tyson Square and Logan Jantzi are paired up to lead the undercard for the 205-pound title.
Many local fighters from Massena, Akwesasne, and Gouverneur are entered. Newcomer Collin Chase and MMA sensation Albert Tully are scheduled. Four title fights will star local fighters: at 185 lbs., Rob Wagner will battle Levi Tupper; 135-pounders Jordan Champion and PJ St. Marie will tangle; for the 155 lb. title, Tevin Terrance will fight Bert Froney; and kick boxing and MMA legend Sheldon Cole will take on Ray Newkirk.
The doors open at 5 p.m. and fights start at 6.
Ticket are $35 general admission, $45 ringside, and $60 for VIP seating.
