OGDENSBURG -- Nearly a dozen bands, including some pioneering rock ‘n’ rollers, will perform for an anticipated 1,000 concertgoers at the MOOD music festival, formerly known as the Oswegatchie Delta Music Festival, slated for July, 18 and  next to Hosmer’s Marina at 54 River St.

“We had about 700 people last year, and we’re hoping for 1,000 this year,” event organizer Pat Duffy said, adding that MOOD stands for “Music On the Oswegatchie Delta.”

The headlining act is Blue Coupe, which includes founding members of Blue Öyster Cult Joe Bouchard and Albert Bouchard, along with original Alice Cooper bassist Dennis Dunaway.

The Bouchard brothers played on most of BÖC’s albums, including the platinum-selling Agents of Fortune, including the hit song “Don’t Fear the Reaper.” He also is featured on their live album “On Your Feet or On Your Knees,” considered by some critics to be one of the greatest live albums of all time.

Dunaway can be heard on Alice Cooper’s first seven albums, including “Love it to Death” and “School’s Out,” as well as the hit tracks “I’m Eighteen” and “Under My Wheels.”

“He was the dark influence on their songwriting,” Duffy said of Dunaway.

Legendary Southern rocker Les Dudek was signed at the last minute to play for the fest. He and his band Delta Breeze will play Saturday afternoon.

He has played with the Steve Miller Band and Boz Scaggs, and helped the Allman Brothers write their huge hit, Ramblin’ Man.

Also on tap is New York City bluesman Chaz Depaolo.

“He’s an international performer, he’s traveled everywhere,” Duffy said.

There will be two levels of tickets, general admission and VIP. General admission are $10 in advance or $12 at the door. VIP tickets are $50 and include a meet-and-greet with Blue Coupe after the show.

Dunaway recently published a book about his years with Alice Cooper titled “Snakes! Guillotines! Electric Guitars!” and he will sign copies of it for VIP passholders. Duffy said people can upgrade to the VIP tickets, space-permitting.

Parking will be available adjacent to Hosmer’s. In case of overflow, people can park at the mall on the other side of the river.

There is a walkway from there to the marina, Duffy said. People have the option to camp on-site. Duffy said anyone interested should call him at 528-0430.

The show kicks off Saturday with Bill Clinger 11 a.m., Warren Harmen noon, Les Dudek 1 p.m. Long Time Gone at 2 :30 p.m., Larry Holly 3:30 p.m. Rockin the Blues 4:45 p.m. Waydown Wailers at 5:45, Chaz Depaolo at 7 p.m. at Blue Coupe at 8:30. Admission for the day is $10.

A VIP party will follow after the show for those who purchased VIP tickets. VIP acees will allow people to meet members of Blue Coupe and feature a private show with Chaz Depaolo
