St. Lawrence University senior Jack Whelan shot rounds of 76 and 72 to win individual honors and St. Lawrence University's men's golf team was seventh in an 18 team field at the 2015 McDaniel's Invitational hosted by Gettysburg College on Sunday.

Whelan earned his sixth career victory and second of the season on the 6713 yard par 72 course at the Bridges in Abbottstown, PA to start spring competition. He shot 38-38 for his 76 on Saturday, the second best round of the day and was two under 34 on his back nine on Sunday for the best round of the tournament with an even-par 72 to take individual honors.

The Saints finished with a 646 team total to tie for seventh with Swarthmore. St. John Fisher was the team champion with a two-day total of 623.

Colin Dowd was the second Saint finisher, tied for 43rd overall with rounds of 85 and 81 for a 166 total while Jake Danforth and Jack Reardon tied for 46th in the 92-player field with 167 totals. Danforth shot 86-81 and Reardon 83-84. Brady Garrett completed the Saint scoring with rounds of 86 and 83 and tied for 51st.

The Saints are scheduled to play at Utica on April 5.
