Alfred, NY – Allison Wakefield tied a season-high with 13 saves but a pair of Michayla Salatel goals lift host Alfred State to a 2-0 win v. the SUNY Canton women's soccer team on Tuesday evening.
Salatel scored in the fourth and 68th minutes, her fifth and sixth goals of the season for the Pioneers (4-2-2).
Wakefield's 13 stops now up her season total to 80 saves in nine games for the Roos (2-7-0). Madison Papaj turned aside three shots for Alfred State.
The women's soccer team is back in action on Saturday when it visits Maine Presque Isle at 12 p.m.
