St. Lawrence University's Divya Biswal was one of four athletes selected as the Outstanding Performers of the 2015 NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships which was held at St. Lawrence in May.
Biswal won the Outstanding Field Event performer award for women for the second straight year as selected by the USTFCCCA. Winners are determined using a formula that takes into account team points scored plus meet records (five points) Division III season-bests based on the converted qualifying lists (three points) and facility records (one point).
Biswal's 18 points earned with a win in the long jump and a runner-up finish in the triple jump earned her the women's field award. Southern Maine's Jamie Ruginski, who won the men's triple jump and was runner-up in the long jump was the men's field Outstanding Performer, also scoring 18 points.
Sprinter Carly Fehler of Wisconsin Eau Claire was the women's track Performer of the Meet with 31.5 points based on wins in the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes, the 100 in a meet record time and the 200 in a DIII best time, and also ran on the 4x100 relay team which broke the facility record. Luke Campbell of Salisbury was the men's track award winner with 25.75 points. He won the 100 and 400 hurdle national titles, running a Merrick-Pinkard record and a DIII best time in the 400 hurdles and was on the scoring 4x400 and 4x100 relay teams.
