CANTON – Two SUNY Canton soccer players have been honored by the United States Collegiate Athletic Association.
Freshman goalie William Banahene (Rochester, N.Y.) of the men’s soccer team has been named a second Team All-American.
Banahene played in 17 games during his rookie campaign and was 12th in the USCAA with a 1.42 goals-against and average and 18th in total saves with 77 while posting a .778 save percentage with four shutouts.
Banahene and the Roos earned the College’s first ever bid to an ECAC championship and finished with an 8-9-1 overall record.
Sophomore goalie Laura Pratt (Binghamton, N.Y.) has been named an Honorable Mention All-American by the USCAA.
Pratt played in all 18 games this fall for the Roos and was seventh in the USCAA in total saves (108) and 13th in goals-against average (1.63) and she posted a .754 save percentage with four shutouts.
