Two teams from the NNY Bassmasters placed in the money at the Cashion Rods Tour Northern Open on the St. Lawrence River.
NNY Bassmasters Team of Doug Kirkbirde of Beaver River and Brad Paradis of Ogdensburg bagged fish that weighed in 18.94 lbs for fifth place.
the team of Tyler Capella and Carrie Capella, both of Canton, brought in fish that weighed in 15.52 lbs for eighth place.
The event took place off of Cape Vincent on Oct. 15.
The field of competitors consisted of 74 anglers. The weather made for a very tough day on the water with four- to six- foot waves coming in from Lake Ontario with heavy winds, according to Paradis.
