With the most successful Clarkson University Men's Soccer season in the past 13 years, the Golden Knights' were honored with several awards when the Liberty League announced its post-season all-star squad on Monday.

Senior Trevor Blackwell (Pittsford, NY) was chosen as a Liberty League All-Star for the fourth time, including his second straight First-Team nod, while sophomore Tucker Wilcox (Broadalbin, NY) was named Liberty League Honorable Mention. Additionally, first-year coach Chris Taylor and assistant coach Matt Konecnik were picked as the Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year.

Blackwell gained Liberty League All-Star First-Team status for the second straight season, starting all 18 games and playing in all but 56 minutes of action this season. The senior defender continued his stellar play to deny other team's offenses, but also added seven points to his resume, including three goals and an assist, tying for the team-lead in goals and ranking second in points.

Wilcox was picked as Liberty League All-Star Honorable Mention, his first all-star nod as a collegian. He, too, started all 18 games and was third on the team in points with six and tied Blackwell for the team-lead in goals scored with three. Wilcox also led the team in total shots (22) and was tied for the team-lead in shots on goal (10).

Taylor earned Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year honors in his first season for Clarkson, helping the Knights post their most victories in a year since 2001 and winning two more games in 2014 than in the last two years combined. The team also had its second-lowest goals against average in more than a decade (1.39 ga/g) and scored the most goals in season since 2009.
