ELMIRA -- Austin Shaheen (Tupper Lake, N.Y.) shot a round of 86 to lead the SUNY Canton men's golf team at the Elmira College Invitational on Monday.
This was the final regular season tournament for the Roos, who will now get ready for the USCAA national tournament October 9-1 at Penn State University.
No team scores or finals standing were released by Elmira.
"Austin played a very steady round today," said head coach Kevin Maginn.
Dan Don (Gouverneur, N.Y.) followed Shaheen with an 89, his lowest round of the season. Nick Reddick (Alexandria Bay, N.Y.) fired a 90, Anthony Levato (Canton, N.Y.) had a 97, and Storm Blackburn (Gouverneur, N.Y.) had a 98.
