Top ranked Saints men's squash beats Williams 8-1

St. Lawrence University's men's squash team returned to action after a holiday break with a 8-1 win over 15th-ranked Williams College in Williamstown, MA on Wednesday.

The Saints, ranked number one nationally in men's college squash, improved to 7-0 on the season with the win and will meet second-ranked Trinity and third ranked Yale on Jan. 17-18.

The only Saint setback came in the match at one as Amr Khalifa was forced to default due to injury after the third game against Jamie Ruggerio. Khaled won games one and two by 11-8 scores with Ruggerio winning 11-7 in game three.

Moustafa Bayoumi returned to action after sitting out the first semester and won 15-12, 11-7, 11-7 over Kevin Chen at two; Edgar Zayas beat Christopher Wilkinson 11-8, 11-4, 11-5 at three and Ahmed Bayouymy was a 11-7, 11-4, 13-11 winner over Addington Graham at four.

Hussein Elrayes was a 11-8, 8-11, 11-5, 11-3 winner over Galen Squires of Williams at five, Ibrahim Khan beat John Shuck 13-11, 13-11 and 11-8 at six, Anderson Good won 11-4, 11-5, 11-3 over Varun Sharma at seven, Duncan Maxwell beat Conor McClintock 11-6, 11-1, 11-6 at eight, Kyle Ogilvy beat Jamie Havran 11-8, 7-11, 11-5, 11-3 at nine and Chris Fernandez was a 11-5, 11-, 11-8 winner over Michael Patrick in the exhibition match at ten.
