A late goal gave the Clarkson University Women's Hockey team a 2-1 over Yale at Ingalls Rink in New Haven, CT on Saturday afternoon.
Clarkson is on a five-game winning streak and has an 8-3 record and is a perfect 3-0 in ECAC Hockey play.
Yale struck first when they scored a power play goal with under a minute to play in the first period.
Clarkson would tie the game at 5:53 in the second period when junior captain Shannon MacAuley (Mt. Hebert, PEI) scored a power play goal. It was MacAuley's ninth goal of the year and marked the third straight game she had tallied at least one goal.
At 7:22 in the third period, the Golden Knights would take the lead when freshman defenseman Savannah Harmon (Downers Grove, IL) scored a power-play goal.
Freshman goalkeeper Shea Tiley (Owen Sound, ONT) made a career high 32 saves in the win, including 17 in the first period. Clarkson held a slim 36-33 advantage in shots. They went 2 for 3 on man-advantage opportunities, while holding Yale to 1 for 5 in the same category.
The Knights are off next weekend before resuming ECAC Hockey play on November 14-15 when they host Harvard and Dartmouth at Cheel Arena.
