Three more SUNY Potsdam swimming records were broken on Friday morning at the 2014 SUNYAC Swimmming and Diving
Championships at Erie Community College's Burt Flickinger Athletic Center in Buffalo.
Among the new program records were senior Ghena Binzer (Baldwinsville, N.Y. / C.W. Baker) in the women's 100-yard
breaststroke with a time of 1:09.75. Binzer broke her own record when she finished in 1:10.16.
Also, sophomore Tyler Zapisek (Syracuse, N.Y. / West Genesee) set a new school record in the men's 100 butterfly (51.19),
beating his own previous record of 51.65.
The men's relay team of Dan Costa, Richie Zimmerman, Ricky Blackburn and Zapisek broke their third school record during
the championships by clocking in the 200 medley relay in 1:36.77.
On Thursday, the team set new benchmarks in the men's 200 free relay and the 400 medley relay.
The evening session begins at 6 p.m. on Friday.
