ROCHESTER, N.Y.--Senior Conor Talty (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) closed out the fall with a victory at the Nazareth Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, helping the SUNY Potsdam golf team to a second place finish. Talty shot a 75 on Day 1 and then a 72 on Day 2 for a two-day total of 147 to edge Clarkson University's Scott Henning by a stroke for the individual title. Potsdam senior John Hickey (Au Sable Forks, N.Y./Au Sable Valley) finished fourth with a 151 (76-75). The Bears shot a 625 overall, trailing only St. Lawrence University's 611.
Junior Kevin Siegel (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Arlington) was next for Potsdam with a 77 and 84 (161). Senior Kevin Doherty (Amherst, N.Y./Amherst) (82-86) and sophomore Dylan Murphy (Ganesvoort, N.Y./Ganesvoort) (86-86) rounded out the Potsdam quintet with a 168 apiece.
