POTSDAM, N.Y.—For the second week in a row the State University of New York Athletic Conference has named SUNY Potsdam senior lacrosse player Pat Corbine (Canton, N.Y./Hugh C. Williams) the Goalie of the Week.
Corbine put together another strong week, posting a save percentage of .553 in two contests and helping the Bears to a 2-0 start in SUNYAC play. On Tuesday against Clarkson, the senior allowed just eight goals and stopped 12 shots. At Oneonta on Saturday, he made eight of his 14 saves in the second half to preserve the Bears' 14-13 victory. This season Corbine is 2-2 in four starts with a goals-against-average of 9.53 and a save percentage of .586. He has made 58 saves in 258:01 minutes.
Potsdam (5-6, 2-0 SUNYAC) travels to Plattsburgh on Wednesday, April 13, looking for its first 3-0 start in conference play since 2007. The Bears square off with the Cardinals at 4 p.m. Potsdam then returns home on Saturday, April 16, for a 1 p.m. battle with Geneseo.
