The men’s team won by a 155-133 count, while the women narrowly beat the Purple Knights 148-138 in the Bears’ final tune-up before the SUNYAC Championships on Feb. 9-12 in Buffalo.
On the men’s side, sophomore Alexander Taylor (Port Ewen, N.Y.) and freshman Dylan Woythal (Duanesburg, N.Y.) won three events apiece to lead Potsdam.

Both were victorious as members of the 200 medley relay team (1:44.71). Senior Dan Callahan (Brewster, N.Y.) and freshman Richie Zimmerman (Victor, N.Y.), the other members of that team, won one individual event each. Sophomore Liz Ringer (Queensbury, N.Y.) and freshman Laurissa Coombs (Port Jefferson, N.Y.) paced the women’s squad with two individual triumphs each.
