(Lynn, Mass.) – Tony Valentin (Perth Amboy, N.J.) reached a personal milestone on Sunday as the senior guard scored 22 points to top the 1,000-point mark for his career in the Roos 84-57 loss to Fisher College at Fecteau-Leary Gym in Lynn, Mass.
Valentin entered the contest needing 21 points to reach the milestone and he accomplished the feat scoring 14 second-half points. He now has 1,001 points in his career at SUNY Canton. Valentin shot 9-for-16 from the field and was a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line and also had four rebounds and two assists.
Khalid Vaughn (New York, N.Y.) added 15 points and four rebounds. Silvon John (Bronx, N.Y.) contributed seven points and eight rebounds for the Roos (0-2 Sunrise Conference, 1-8 overall).
The Falcons (3-1, 5-11) were led by Louis Williams who dropped in 19 points and handed out five assists. Dennis Norford added 18 points and 13 boards.
