Oneonta, NY – The SUNY Canton women's volleyball team fell to host Oneonta 3-1 (25-27, 25-22, 11-25, 12-25) before defeating SUNY Delhi 3-0 (25-11, 25-19, 25-13) on Saturday.
With the split the Roos improve to 15-19 on the season, while Oneonta falls to 15-15 and Delhi drops to 9-22.
Match 1
Kelsy Cornish (Honeoye, NY) led the Roos with 10 kills and seven digs, while Shea Norton (Batavia, NY) added nine kills. Jenna Roat (Penfield, NY) was a force defensively with 16 digs, while Morgan Wicks (Hartford, NY) also provided double digit digs with 11. Peyton Robinson (Penfield, NY) dished out a match-best 28 assists.
SUNY Canton struck for a match-high 13 kills in the opening set, while combining for 20 putdowns the rest of the match.
Match 2
Cornish continued her hot play striking for 15 kills in the nightcap, while Norton also added 13 kills. Roat and Wicks tallied nine and eight digs, respectively, while Robinson dished out 33 assists.
SUNY Canton finished with 40 kills hitting .333 (40-11-87), while the Broncos finished with a hitting percentage of .013 (14-13-80).
Cornish was named to the All-Tournament for her play throughout the weekend.
