HENNIKER, NH -- The SUNY Canton women’s soccer team dropped a close 2-0 decision to New England College Saturday in Henniker, N.H.

The Roos, ranked fourth in the USCAA Coaches Poll, saw their record dip to 4-2 overall.

The Roos had the first good scoring chance of the contest in the 30th minute. Freshman Karley Cree (Hogansburg, N.Y.), who is tied for the scoring lead in the USCAA, found herself on a breakaway but her shot sailed just over the crossbar.

Sophomore Laura Pratt (Binghamton, N.Y.) finished with seven saves for the Roos.

The Pilgrams scored a goal in each half to earn the win as Kaylee Thrasher and Caroline Mols each scored once.

The Roos return to action today when they take on Johnson State College at 2 p.m.
