SUNY Canton women's hockey team falls to Northeastern

CANTON -- Freshman goalie Alyssa Altschuler (Cheshire, Conn.) made 49 saves as the SUNY Canton women’s ice hockey team lost to Northeastern University 6-0 Sunday in Canton.

Altschuler finished the two-game series with 101 saves. She had 15 saves in the first period on Sunday, 18 in the second period and 16 more in the third period.

Nicole Fox led the Huskies (2-1) with two goals and Zoe Zsis had nine saves.

The Roos (0-6) are on the road next weekend for a two-game series at the University at Buffalo Nov. 17-18. SUNY Canton’s next home game is on Nov. 30 against the University of Vermont at 6 p.m. at Roos House.
