HOUGHTON -- The SUNY Canton women’s basketball team lost at Houghton College Saturday night by a score of 65-48.
The Roos saw their two-game win streak snapped as their record moved to 3-3 overall. SUNY Canton trailed 30-27 at halftime but the Highlanders outscored the Roos 35-21 in the second half to earn the victory.
Senior Kaitlin Myers (Dannemora, N.Y.), who was named the USCAA Division I Player of the Week, scored a team-high 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Sophomore Tricia Boland (Hammond, N.Y.) also reached double figures finishing with 10 points.
Junior Joelle Percy (Black River, N.Y.) knocked down three 3-pointers and finished with nine points and three rebounds and freshman Brianna Sayer (Hermon, N.Y.) added four points and three rebounds.
Kristen Moose led the Highlanders with 25 points and five rebounds and Maisie Pipher added 11 points and five rebounds.
The Roos are in action again on Sunday when they play the Wells College Express at 1 p.m. in Aurora.
