CLERMONT, Fla. -- The SUNY Canton softball team dropped a pair of games on Monday in Florida as they lost to Rochester Institute of Technology 8-0 in the morning and Alma College 7-0 in the afternoon.
Freshman Sharon Cordero (Goshen, N.Y.) went 1-for-2 to lead the Roos against RIT, and junior Allie Gibson (North Tonawanda, N.Y.) struck out four batters and allowed eight runs on nine hits in five innings.
The Roos return to the diamond on Tuesday facing Davenport University at 9 a.m. and Augustana College 1 p.m.
