ROCHESTER -- The SUNY Canton men’s soccer team suffered a 4-0 setback to RIT Sunday afternoon on the final day of the Doug May Classic hosted by Nazareth College.
“We just didn’t show up today,” said head coach Mark Howlett. “We looked very tired from a tough game on Saturday against Nazareth and with a large number of new college players we were not mentally strong enough. We have to learn from this and move forward to Elmira on Wednesday.”
Sankung Sillah (Bronx, N.Y.) registered five saves for the Roos (0-3). Sean Conway had two saves for the Tigers and Coty Winchell added a goal and an assist.
The Roos will travel to Elmira to take on the Purple Eagles on Wednesday, Sept. 7 with the opening kickoff scheduled for 4 p.m.
