CANTON -- The SUNY Canton men’s soccer team has received a bid to the 2012 ECAC DIII Upstate Men’s Soccer Championship.
The Roos are the No. 3 seed in the tournament and will play at No. 2 and host Elmira College (12-6) on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 11 a.m. Top seed Sages College (12-5-1) will play No. 4 Cazenovia College (8-7-2) in the other semifinal game at 2 p.m. The championship game is slated for Sunday, Nov. 11 at 12 p.m.
SUNY Canton finished the regular season with an 8-8-1 record, and men’s soccer is the first team to receive a bid from the ECAC in the College’s first year with the organization.
The Roos and Elmira faced each other once during the regular season as the Soaring Eagles came away with a 3-1 win in Canton.
