Waterbury Center, VT – The SUNY Canton men's golf team has completed play on the first day of the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship at the Country Club of Vermont on Saturday.
The Roos were one of the final teams to tee off in the 11 team tournament and unable to complete the opening round due to darkness. SUNY Canton, SUNY Delhi, Thomas College and Maine Presque Isle all have players that will finish their opening rounds tomorrow morning before beginning the final round.
Tom Rancour sits in 10th place at 7-over par after completing 16 holes, while Matthew Russell is tied for 11th at 8-over par through 17 holes. Josh Marshall sits in a tie for 25th lace at 14-over through 17 holes. Devin Page and Azzat Almasri are tied for 33rd at 17-over par out of the 54 golfer field.
Husson University (307) and Salem State University (310) lead the way in first and second place of teams who have had all their golfers complete the opening round.
The men's golf team is scheduled to tee off in the final round of the NAC Championship on Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
