CANTON -- The SUNY Canton men’s basketball team lost at home Friday night to Morrisville State College by a score of 73-63 at Roos House.
The Roos (5-11) shot 46 percent from the floor and 71 percent from the free throw line, buried seven 3-pointers and made 15 steals.
Freshman guard Michael Pulci (Staten Island, N.Y.) led five SUNY Canton players in double figures with a game-high 12 points. Sophomore Tyler Ellison (New York, N.Y.) scored 11 points and grabbed three rebounds. Junior Scott Dixon (Brooklyn, N.Y.) scored 10 points, made six steals and handed out five assists.
Junior Khalid Vaughn (New York, N.Y.) and sophomore Scott Bartenstein (Potsdam, N.Y.) also had 10 points apiece and Vaughn collected five rebounds, five assists and four steals.
Kucjok Ater dropped in 11 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead Morrisville (10-4). Mickey Davis also had 11 points along with four rebounds.
The Roos return to their home court on Saturday, Jan. 19 hosting the Sage Colleges at 3 p.m. in Roos House.
