Lancaster, PA – Romario Fletcher scored a team-high 19 points and added seven rebounds but host Franklin & Marshall opened a double-digit lead on its way to an 85-56 victory on Monday evening.
The Roos fall to 5-7, while the Diplomats improve to 7-3.
SUNY Canton jumped out to an early 9-6 lead behind seven points from Fletcher, but the Diplomats responded with a 14-3 run to take the lead for good. The Roos got within 20-14 with 9:20 left in the opening half but a 19-2 F&M spurt gave them a 23-point lead as they opened a 49-23 lead at intermission.
The Diplomats continued to control play in the second half as the Roos were unable to cut the lead to less than 22.
Fletcher paced the Roos with 19 points, while Sam Annorh added 12 points, four rebounds and four assists. Rashad Richardson posted 10 points and five rebounds.
Brandon Federici paced the Diplomats with 26 points, while Julius Stoma (18) and Hunter Eggers (10) also finished in double figures.
