The SUNY Canton men's soccer team was unable to get the offense rolling dropping a 3-0 road decision at SUNY Delhi in the season opener for both teams on Thursday.
The Broncos converted a penalty kick from the foot of Joffre Portilla in the 35th minute to take a 1-0 lead into intermission.
Delhi produced a key three minute stretch that saw both Aiden Dittmann and Matthew Cassady find the back of the net within 3:09 of clock time to take control of the game.
Josh Geller (Monroe, NY) generated the lone shot on target for the Roos. Mouhammed Thiam (New York, NY) turned aside five shots in goal, while Ryan Hennessy made one save for the Broncos.
