(Rutland, Vt.)- Junior Scott Dixon (Brooklyn, N.Y.) scored 21 points leading the SUNY Canton men’s basketball team to an 82-62 win over the College of St. Joseph Saturday afternoon in Rutland, Vt.
The Roos (5-9) won their second straight game as they wiped out a one-point halftime deficit outscoring the Fighting Saints 50-30 in the second half.
Dixon buried four 3-pointers and also had five rebounds and two assists for the Roos, who have won three of their first four games of 2013.
Sophomore Scott Bartenstein (Potsdam, N.Y.) added a season-high 20 points, four rebounds and three steals for SUNY Canton. Junior Khalid Vaughn (New York, N.Y.) posted a double-double with 11 points and 10 assists and sophomore Xzavier Fisher (Plymouth, Pa.) contributed 10 points.
The Roos hit the road again on Tuesday, Jan. 15 for a road game at Alfred University at 4 p.m.
