The St. Lawrence University Varsity 8 boat placed third in the Petite Finals at the New York State Championship Regatta Saturday afternoon at Fish Creek near the campus of Skidmore College.
The Varsity 8 finished third missing second by just over 10 seconds and finishing ahead of Union College by six seconds. The coxswain was Yukiko McQueeney and the rowers were Hannah Durant, Mikayla Thomas, Maya Williams, Eleanor Jones, Lyndsay Pratt, Michela Morrissey, Jennifer Longwell and Gabrielle Schreffler.
The novice boat featuring Caleigh Donahue, Marija Jukic, Addie Brendel, Bieke Bekker, Grace Riehl, Amanda Dupuis, Alyssa Stahrr and coxswain Zoe Soule, finished fourth in the finals on the women's Novice competition just six seconds behind the Ithaca College boat.
