The NCAA announced its host sites for Division I, II and III championships over the next four years on Wednesday afternoon, and St. Lawrence University has been selected as the host institution for both the 2015 Skiing and Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
The national title for division I, II and III alpine and Nordic skiing will be decided in Lake Placid, NY in conjunction with the Olympic Center, ORDA and NYSEF for the first time since 1982. Meanwhile, the division III outdoor track and field championships will return to Canton, NY for the first time since 2003.
"We are thrilled to have received these events to showcase the University and North Country to student-athletes from across the country," said St. Lawrence Director of Athletics Margie Strait. "The facilities in Lake Placid and our very own Merrick-Pinkard Track at Leckonby Stadium should provide the competitors and fans with an excellent experience in 2015."
More information regarding the championships will be posted as it becomes available.
