Ed Moore of Gouverneur won “lunker of the day” Saturday in the Northern New York Bassmasters Team Trail meet on Black Lake with this 6.24 pound fish.
BLACK LAKE – St. Lawrence County anglers did well in the Northern New York Bassmasters Team Trail meet on Black Lake June 28 in the second leg the 2015 tournament season.
The winning team was Edward Moore (Gouverneur) and Doug Kirkbride (Beaver River), with 17.16 pounds anchored by a monster 6.24 largemouth which took “lunker of the day.”
The rest of the St. Lawrence County fishers in the top five were:
• 2nd: Steve Garrabrant and Tim O'Grady (Ogdensburg) with 16.29 lbs
• 4th: Bill Redmond and Albert Redmond (Gouverneur) with 13.77 lbs
• 5th: Brad Paradis and Robert Paradis (Ogdensburg) with 13.45 lbs
Over 213 pounds of smallmouth and largemouth were weighed in overall.
The next tournament for the NNY Bassmasters will be on Lake Ontario at Chaumont Bay on July 11.
