St. Lawrence County teams dominated the first event in the Northern New York Bassmasters 2015 season on Lake Champlain.
Local teams finished one-two-three-four in the June 13 contest for total catch of small- and large-mouth bass.
Winning teams were:
• 1st: Steve Garrabrant and Tim O'Grady (Ogdensburg) with 19.16 lbs
• 2nd: Joe Fortin and Fred Morrill (Ogdensburg/DeKalb Junction) with 19.06 lbs
• 3rd: Jessie Spellicy and Jeremy French (Gouverneur) with 18.75 lbs
• 4th: Michael Emlaw and Ashley Travers (Brasher Falls) with 16.81 lbs
The lunker of the day was a 5.78 lb largemouth caught by Jessie Spellicy of Gouverneur.
The next contest on the 2015 Northern New York Bassmasters Team Trail is at Black Lake Sunday, June 28.
