Junior Scott Smolensky was the only St. Lawrence athlete to score in the 2014 ECAC Championships at RPI as he was seventh in the 5000 meters on Thursday.
Smolensky ran 15:27.01 to account for the Saint points among 57 teams which scored in the meet.
Junior Shawn Lillie got off to a strong start in the decathlon, standing fifth after the first half of the ten-event competition, but dropped back on Friday and finished 10th with a score of 5770 points. He won the 100 in 11.13 for 832 points, was second in the long jump at 6.81 meters for 769 points and won the shot put at 12.33 meters for 626 points on day one. His top performance in the final five events was a third in the discus at 34.00 meters for 544 points.
Sophomore Harrison Sloan finished 16th in the 800 in 1:58.52 while senior Brian Kane was 17th in the high jump at 1.86 meters in other events.
