St. Lawrence University's Carly Stine ran 1:03.53 in the preliminaries of the NCAA Division III Championship 400 meter intermediate hurdles on Thursday and did not advance to Saturday's final as the 2012 championships got underway in Claremont, CA on Thursday.
Stine, the Liberty League and NYSCTC champion in the 400 hurdles finished 16th in the 22-runner field. Stine was fifth in her heat, won by Hannah Wiley of Southern Maine in 1:01.58.
High jumper Eliza Bell will compete on Friday as will senior sprinter Jarell Roberts for the Saint men.
