The St. Lawrence University women's tennis team improved to 5-0, defeating regionally ranked no. 15 Ithaca College 5-4 on Saturday at the Reis Tennis Center.   The dual came down to the final match on court as sophomore Justine Rusk won 6-1 in the third set to clinch the victory for the Saints. 

Sophomore Shannon Murphy was a double winner as she defeated Ithaca's Kelsey Harness in the no. 4 spot, and teamed up with classmate Liz Geer in second doubles, earning 8-5 victory.   

Juniors Hillary Drewry and Sara Willett joined Rusk and Murphy in earning singles victories for the Saints.  Drewry defeated Melanie Cohen 6-3, 6-3 while Willett defeated Laurel Salladay 6-2, 6-2. The Saints will look to extend their dual match winning streak against Nazareth on Saturday, April 2nd.  The match is scheduled to start at 10:00am.
