CANTON -- The St. Lawrence University football team looks to pick up its first win of the 2010 season on Saturday when the Saints play host to Alfred University at Leckonby Stadium.

The Scarlet and Brown are coming off of a tight loss to Norwich University last weekend, but will look to continue to improve against an Alfred team that is coming off of an early bye week. The Saxons defeated Widener 37-0 in their opening game before having last weekend off.

"I've been pleased with some of the things we've done over the first two weekends, and the guys are starting to learn the new system," said St. Lawrence head coach Mark Raymond. "We've played two very good football teams thus far and Alfred will be another strong test on Saturday."

The Saints and Saxons will be broadcast live on America One for a fee beginning at 12:45pm for the 1:00pm kick-off. Click here to WATCH!

Meanwhile, Chris Engel will again broadcast the game live on WPDM radio, with a pre-game show starting at 12:45pm. You can listen to Chris's broadcast on the web by clicking here.

Coach Raymond handed out his weekly team awards after the Norwich game, with Ethan Sutton '12 winning Offensive and Special Teams Player of the Week honors and Jesse Clark '13 winning the Defensive Award.

Other weekly award winners for the Saints included Camryn Ferrara '14 (Offensive Scout) and John Kelley '14 (Defensive Scout). First-year student Brayden Henry will serve as the Saints' honorary captain for the Alfred game thanks to his performance against the Cadets.
