St. Lawrence University goaltender Carmen MacDonald '15 is one of 16 athletes that attended Hockey Canada's seventh-annual Program of Excellence goaltending camp in Calgary, AB.
The four-day camp, which was held last week at the WinSport Canada Athletic & Ice Complex, featured some of the premier goaltenders in the world working with Team Canada goaltender instructors.
"Carmen had a great year for us here at St. Lawrence, and we are happy for her that she is being recognized by Hockey Canada," said St. Lawrence head coach Chris Wells.
MacDonald backstopped St. Lawrence to an ECAC Hockey Tournament title last March and an NCAA Tournament bid. The Pictou, NS native was the 2012 ECAC Hockey Tournament Most Valuable Player and earned a spot on the league's All-Rookie Team.
