Senior Chyron Brown-Wallace was named to the Lindy's Sports Preseason All-America team as announced in a recent issue of the magazine.
Brown-Wallace was a first-team selection and one of 50 players recognized as first or second team preseason honorees by the publication.
"Chyron is a dominating force on defense and despite attracting attention from two, and sometimes three blockers on every play, continues to wreak havoc in the opponent's backfield," said Head Coach Dan Puckhaber. "Although he has been honored nationally multiple times over the past three seasons, he continues to strive to improve personally with the ultimate goal of making the team better with his efforts on and off the field."
The defensive tackle for St. Lawrence was among the national leaders in 2015 with 22 tackles for loss (ranked eighth nationally) and 11 ½ sacks (14th).
Brown-Wallace is the only Liberty League player on the All-America list and one of just three players from New York State on the squad.
The Saints open the 2016 season at home at 7 p.m. on Friday, September 2 against Morrisville in what will be the first night game ever played at Leckonby Stadium.
