Six members of the Clarkson University Alpine Ski team earned all-star status from the ECSC MacConnell Division on Monday, including junior Christian Perryman (West Lebanon, NH) who placed in the second spot in the overall standings for the Golden Knights.
Additionally, fourth-year head coach Skip Fox was chosen as the ECSC MacConnell Division Coach of the Year, his first such honor since coming to Clarkson.
Perryman led four men's skiers in MacConnell Division honors, which go to the top 15 skiers for the season according to points gathered in the 10 regular-season races. Perryman placed second with 436 points, which included a pair of first-place showings and one runner-up spot. Freshman Sean Donohue (Bolton Landing, NY) came in third with 389 points thanks to three runners-up spots. In sixth place was sophomore Alex Slemp (Clifton Park, NY) and in ninth was freshman Austin Florian (Southington, CT).
The women had a pair of MacConnell Division All-Stars in newcomers Kelly Rowland (West Windsor, NJ) and Ashley Yoviene (Boston, NY). Rowland placed 14th overall in the season-long standings while Yoviene made it to 15th place.
Clarkson will head to the USCSA Eastern Regionals this weekend at Sugarloaf Mountain in Carabassett Valley, Maine.
