The Clarkson University Athletic Department is pleased to announce the hiring of Dan Sipperly as the new top assistant coach of the Golden Knights' Men's Lacrosse program for the 2015-16 season.
Sipperly is a 2014 graduate of Bryant University where he finished with a 3.3 grade-point average with a degree in Global Supply Chain Management and minors in Marketing and Psychology.
While playing at Bryant, Sipperly appeared 74 games, helping lead the Bulldogs to a 46-29 record, three conference titles and two NCAA appearances in four seasons. Sipperly recorded 104 points on 82 goals and 22 assists. He is one of only 15 players in program history to surpass 100 points and he ranks eighth all-time at Bryant in goals. More impressively he scored his 82 goals on just 133 shots on goal, and he also scooped up 106 groundballs in his career.
A native of Greenwich, NY, Sipperly also enjoyed an outstanding prep career at Christian Brothers Academy. He finished his career as the Section II all-time leading point scorer and was one of the top scorers in New York State prep history.
Sipperly's father, Robert, was also a standout at Hobart College, helping the Statesmen win their first three of 12 straight NCAA titles from 1980-1982.
