Seniors Nicole Leinders and Alanna Blackburn each won a pair of events for the St. Lawrence women's swimming team, which wrapped up its 2016 home schedule with a 120-61 win over Utica on Saturday afternoon.
Leinders, Blackburn and Kathryn Whittum, as well as men's team seniors Matt Bauer and Grant Reeder, were each honored as part of the Senior Day celebration prior to Saturday's meet; their last in the Augusbury Pool.
The Saints opened the afternoon with a win in the 400 medley relay and went on to win every event a Saints swimmer competed in on the afternoon.
Leinders won the 100 (58.04) and 200 freestyle (2:05.03) while first-year Claire Andersen finished second in both events for St. Lawrence.
Meanwhile, Blackburn completed her season-long sweep of the 50 freestyle in dual meets, with a winning time of 25.55. She also took first in the 100 butterfly (1:03.23).
First-year distance swimmer Taylor McClung was also a dual winner on Saturday afternoon, as she and Alexandra Wagner finished 1-2 in both the 1000 and 500 freestyle events. Whittum closed out an all-St. Lawrence 500 freestyle with a third-place finish.
Other winners for St. Lawrence against the Pioneers included Darla Long (200 IM, 2:26.32) and Meg Musser (100 backstroke, 1:04.47).
St. Lawrence will now turn its attention to preparing for the UNYSCSA Championships in February.
