St. Lawrence University's women's squash team closed its opening weekend of intercollegiate competition with a 1-3 record with two of the losses coming against teams ranked in the top three nationally.
The Saints, who are now idle until a trio of matches in Maine in early January, lost at second-ranked Penn on Sunday 9-0.
Penn won all nine of its matches in straight games to improve to 4-0 on the season.
Reedham Sedky beat the Saints Emily Terry 11-0, 11-2, 11-3 at one, Melissa Alves was a 11-5, 11-1, 11-4 winner over Zoe Kagan at two, Anaka Alankamony beat Alexandra Infante 11-2, 11-3, 11-0 at three and Marie Stephan was a 11-9, 11-1, 11-1 winner over Lizzie Lasusa at four.
Yan Xin Tan beat Losangela Batista 11-1, 11-2, 11-0 at five, Michelle Wong was a 11-2, 11-5, 11-2 winnver over Cristina De La Vega at six, Rowaida Attia Walid beat Allie Brazo 11-4, 11-3, 11-1 at seven, Camille Lanier beat Cassie Christoper 11-1, 11-1, 11-3 at eight and Grace Van Arkel beat Sarah Neilson 11-4, 11-3, 11-2 at nine. Lauren Wolf beat Catherine Sanderson 11-9, 11-5, 11-1 in the match at ten.
