The St. Lawrence University alpine ski teams competed in the slalom on Sunday in a make-up race for the 2013 Dartmouth Carnival at the Dartmouth Ski Way. Sophomore Graham Scott was the top St. Lawrence finisher, earning his eighth career top-20 finish.

Saturday's race was an individual NCAA qualifier event only, as no team standings were kept. Scott finished with a combined time of 1:41.70, good for 15th position in the college ranks, while Ben DeFlavio and Jeremy Lawless followed in 31st and 37th.

First-year Nick Stenicka (47th), Dustin Martin (DNQ) and Nick Scalia (DNF) also competed for the Saints men's squad.

Senior Ann West was the lone finisher for the St. Lawrence women's team, closing in 37th position with a time of 1:59.03. Kelly Appenzeller (DNF), Ciar Colgan (DNF), Maria Hillenbrand (DNF) and Amie Lonza (DNQ) also competed for the Scarlet and Brown, while Ashley-Kate Durham and Allison Visconti were held out of the line-up.

Dartmouth's Lizzie Kistler and UVM's Jonathon Nordbotten won the women's and men's slalom races, respectively.

The Saints are gearing up for the final EISA Carnival of the year at Bates this weekend at Sunday River, which also serves as the NCAA Regional Championship. Friday and Saturday will be the final chances for competitors to improve their NCAA Championship standing, with those races held on March 6 and 8 at Middlebury.
