(Canton, N.Y.)- The schedule for the 2011-12 Eastern Collegiate Hockey League tournament at SUNY Canton have been announced. SUNY Canton has earned the No. 2 seed and will have a first-round bye.
The opening round of the tournament starts on Friday, Feb. 24 with No. 4 University of Buffalo playing No. 5 Canisius College at 5:30 p.m. and No. 3 Niagara University playing No. 6 RIT at 8:30 p.m.
The Roos, who are the defending champions, will play the highest remaining seed on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 7:30 p.m. while top-seeded and regular season champions Mercyhurst University will play the lowest remaining seed at 4 p.m. The championship game is slated for Sunday, Feb. 26 at 1:30 p.m.
