Salve Regina jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning, tacked on seven runs in the sixth and cruised to a 12-0 win over St. Lawrence University's baseball team in Fort Myers, FL on Wednesday.

Kyle Pheland allowed seven hits over eight innings, walking one and striking out two to earn the win. A quartet of Saint pitchers gave up just nine hits, but six walks, five hit batters and three wild pitches contributed to the Saints' demise.

Salve Regina scored three in the bottom of the second on a hit batter, four straight singles and a double play groundout. The Seahawks added single runs in the bottom of the fourth and fifth and blew it open with seven in the bottom of the sixth despite getting just three hits in the inning.

Khifer O'Connor and Chris Fernandez had two hits each with O'Connor hitting a double. Dan Heddon took the loss for the Saints.

St. Lawrence will take a 3-2 record into a Thursday game against Principia.
