St. Lawrence University's women's track and field team is fourth after seven events in the 2013 New York State Collegiate Track Conference Championships being held at SLU's Merrick-Pinkard Track and Field Complex through Saturday.

Ithaca College leads the field with 93.5 points with the rest of the competition trailing by a large margin in the 12-team field. RPI is second with 34 points, RIT third with 32 and the Saints are fourth with 23.5, five ahead of fifth place Nazareth.

The Saints scored in all of the field events contested on Friday, led by Divya Biswal's third place finish with a 5.22 meter jump in the long jump. Samantha Weber with fifth with a 35.15 meter throw and Hannah Kinsey sixth at 33.18 meters in the javelin, Jessica Tyree was seventh with a 40.51 meter throw and Kristen Linder eighth at 40.42 meters in the hammer and Caitlin Boreyko was fifth with a 3.00 meter height and Taylor Washington eighth at 2.85 meters in the pole vault.

While the Saints did not score in the two track finals races on Friday, with no entry in the 10,000 and dropping out of the 4x800 relay after a dropped baton, they did send athletes forward in all of the qualifying races.

Hannah Kinsey qualified in both the 100 and 200 meters, running the second fastest 200 in the prelims with a 26.18 time. Marissa Turner ran 59.32 and was joined by Anna Pond in qualifying for the 400 meters and Biswal qualified for the finals in the 100 hurdles.

Competition will resume at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
