St. Lawrence University senior Divya Biswal jumped her way into the top ten in the nation in the long jump with a win at the Oneonta Twilight Meet on Saturday and is now a likely qualifier in two events for the upcoming NCAA Championships which will be held at SLU May 21-23.
Biswal's win at 5.80 meters moves her to fourth in the nation in the long jump. She ranks third nationally in the triple jump. Biswal also competed in the 100 hurdles at Oneonta, finishing second in 14.81 seconds.
Junior Marisa Turner won the high jump at 1.64 meters and was third in the 400 hurdles in 1:05.22 with Jacqui Ebeling finishing fourth. Meghann Wood won the shot put with a throw of 12.73 meters and Jessica Tyree finished 12th in the hammer with a 41.44 meter throw.
