With a new look in the doubles lineup, the Saints women's tennis team rolled to an 8-1 win over Nazareth at the Mendon Racquet Club in Rochester on Saturday afternoon.
Bridget Fleming made her first match appearance since March 13 against Cornell College, and teamed with Olivia Arroyo for the first time this season at third doubles. The duo downed June Logigian and Jean McCarthy 8-1.
Georgia Comber and Anna Young were bumped into the first doubles spot and put together an 8-4 win, while Samantha Miller and Hallie Young shut out their Nazareth opponents 8-0 to help the Saints to a 3-0 lead heading into singles play.
Arroyo and Morgan McNeal led the way for St. Lawrence at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively; as both posted dominant straight set wins without conceding a game, 6-0, 6-0. Comber (6-1, 6-2), Anna Young (6-2, 6-1) and Hallie Young (6-1, 6-1) followed suit with straight sets wins of their own.
The Saints (11-3) will return to Newell Field House on Sunday morning for a Liberty League match versus RIT at 10 a.m.
